LED TO WAR WITH THE BOERS . IN 1899 THE CANADIAN GOVERNMENT SENT AN ARMY CONTINGENT
TO SUPPORT THE BRITISH. DURING THE THREE YEAR WAR 1899-1902, A TOTAL OF 7368 CANADIANS
SERVED IN SOUTH AFRICA AND 89 WERE KILLED IN ACTION, 135 DIED FROM DISEASE AND 252
WERE WOUNDED . 14 NORTH BAY AND AREA VETERANS SERVED. THEIR NAMES ARE LISTED HERE
